Yes, yes, yes, that’s what I was today!

I hosted the first of hopefully many Connect Pro sessions with 6 participants two of which were truly distant as in Essex and Devon which added some extra validity in my book!

I am feeling a mixture of feelings now that the event has come and gone of excitement, relief and just plain frazzled.

It is exciting that I have found something to nurture and develop and to finally use as a focus for my MA Ed. The session went very well with a high level of participation from people attending. I felt that the pace was good without being too frantic and I was able to keep track of everyone. The main problematic area was the breakout room exercise but that was really down to lack of experience and I was soo finding my way.

The main consensus of opinion is that it is an area well worth pursuing and one that i am most able at facilitating.

When it comes to a VLE, blended learning, experiential learning environment that is what I am out to evoke!

So, I am only just over a week away from my first ‘live’ Connect Pro session and there is lots to do!

Quite high on my list that will invariably benefit from Structured Procrastination is sorting out a consent form so that I can record the meeting.

This is important as I can then pick over the bones of the session and hopefully reflect sufficiently to realise my case study.

Another important preparation is to get people to visit the room and make sure that they can connect via the add in and to configure audio and web cam as appropriate.

To accompany and supplement connect pro I believe it is necessary to try and nurture a Motionology social network both in the real and virtual world.

Coffee in the Green room takes care of one of these and I believe that the newly created wackwall will do the other in the same way that Rhizome works for artists
